HIPPO 2032E (Pat.Pending# US60688479)
Status: August 2007
Locked, Loaded, and ready for Action! The United States ARMY is now fully on-board with the HIPPO 2032E, and is by far the single largest user of these multipower packs in the world.
General Description:
The Mobile Hydraulic Equipment Company's 2032E power pack is a skid mounted, self contained, diesel-engine-driven power pack, which provides air, electric, and hydraulic power for continuous duty use, up to 6 hours on a single tank of fuel. The unit has a large heat exchanger for keeping hydraulic oils at optimum temperatures during operation. The unit is automatically load-sensitive to different tools as they come on and off line during operation.
The 2032E Will Provide:
- Hydraulic-driven generator, which delivers up to 5,200W, 120 Volts
- Hydraulic tool circuits - Two circuits with fully adjustable flow of 0-10GPM @ 2000psi
- Air compressor - Flooded screw 40 CFM or 80 CFM @ 110 PSI (using the selector)
- 12 Volt Power Outlet - Two 12 Volt Power Outlets available
Diesel Engine:
Industrial Diesel, 12 volt starter, glow plug system, controller,
fuel shutdown solenoid, 12 volt 55 amp alternator, load sensitive
governor, hydraulic pump mount and drive adapter, water radiator with
pusher fan, dry type air filter, muffler with thermal wrap.
Hydraulic Control Manifold
The HCM10 shall be an integrated metered flow diverter with dual pressure
relief's (one for each circuit), a central return circuit, and auto
select for engaging the hydraulic driven, AC generator, and air compressor.
Instrument Package:
Instrumentation includes: Hour-meter, engine oil pressure light, coolant
temp light, hydraulic oil temp light, 30 amp push in breaker, volt
meter, hydraulic oil, air, and fuel level gauge. Safety shutdown systems
for low engine oil level, high coolant and hydraulic oil temperature.
Wiring system is color coded and labeled every 3 inches to indicate
what component part each wire operates and whether positive or negative
volts.
Pump & Cooling
Hydraulic Pump shall be a twin section, fixed displacement gear pump,
with multipower modifications. Twin oil coolers (one each for hydraulic
and compressor oils) with total cooling of 60,000 BTU's shall be provided.
Power Outlets:
Two fully adjustable hydraulic tool circuit providing 0-10 GPM at 200psi
Two 110 volt 25 amp GFI outlets and One 12 volt power outlet (one
is for jump start/crane power)
Air outlet for 40 CFM or 80 CFM at 110 PSI (using the selector), one
crow's foot, and one quick disconnect
Capabilities:
The 2032E offers a true Multipower capability. While the 40 CFM air
circuit is in the ON position the 2032E can also operate one 10 GPM
hydraulic tool circuit or the 5.2kW generator at the same time.
With the 40 CFM air circuit in the OFF position the 2032E can operate
two 10 GPM hydraulic tool circuits or one 10 GPM tool circuit and
the 5.2kW generator. When the 80 CFM air circuit is in operation
the hydraulic and electric circuits are not available. Any two of
the three types of power (air, hydraulic, or electric) are available
at the flip of a switch in any combination required for the mobile
worksite.
Size and Weight:
62.5 in long X 34.75 in wide X 43.5 in high and approximately 1700lbs* (including fluids)
*Note* This unit has a 7ga "skin", which is very
strong, but also very heavy. It was designed for the US Army, and
thus had to be a very stout, robust unit. Which it is!
