On the jobsite in Leavenworth, KS
We always appreciate the opportunity to view our equipment in action,
and we recently had the chance to watch the Leavenworth Water Dept
at work with their new HIPPO 2032P.
2032P on F-550 for the Leavenworth Water Dept
The Mission
Replace an old hydrant with a new one, and improve the main by installing some in-line valves.
Now, we realize this could never happen in your community, but it was a very cold, windy, snowy day in Leavenworth.
Such is our luck. In order to install the in-line valves, a section of the old main (6", cast iron) had to be cut out. The
hydraulic cut-off saw was the "weapon of choice" and Ed (the lucky guy down in the hole...lucky because he was out of the wind!)
climbed down the ladder, and went to work.
A few thousand of you probably recognize that saw: It's an old demo cut-off saw that we've had for years, and has been with us on
many an exciting demo! When the Leavenworth guys bought their new truck, they inquired about the demo-saw, and we made them an offer they couldn't
refuse!

The "Tiger Tooth" blade made short work of that cast iron pipe
Working around the backside of the pipe...
Finished! Elapsed time: Less than 3-minutes!
