11/30/05 City of Philadelphia going to Multipower Systems!
Structural Metal Fabricators recently delivered (2), Multipower Systems, HP2 ‘Hydrapacks” to the City of Philadelphia Water Department.
The HP2 provides City work crews with a 4000 Watt Electric Generator, AND a 10gpm hydraulic tool circuit at the same time, OR they can switch a lever, and operate TWO 10gpm hydraulic tool circuits at the same time. The HP2’s are installed on small trailers, which they can tow to the worksite, along with extra fuel, tools, materials, etc.
SMF and Multipower Systems officially put these units into service on Nov 30. However, the HP2 is so easy to operate, the City already had several hours of operation on both machines, prior to putting them into service.

Note:
The City is using these units (in their Water Department) primarily to operate hydraulic water pumps, hydraulic cut-off saws, and lights.
