Water Main Breaks in the News

The Fabulous Flying Fish of Kansas City!

That's Sam ("Salmon") in the lead, followed by "Snapper" and "Carp"

MHE is pleased to have sponsored Sam Swearngin (fleet manager at the City of Kansas City, MO) and his team, the "SFX Flying Fish", once again in the 2007 MS Bike Ride (formerly known as the "MS-150"), an annual fund-raising ride to support finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.

This year's ride was on Sept 8th & 9th. The main route started in Raymore, MO, went out to Sedalia, and then returned back to Raymore. (Some routes were nearly 190 miles!)

Once again, Sam was able to raise over $2,000 ($2,330 to be exact…or FOUR TIMES the average amount!) for Multiple Sclerosis, ranking him 54th (out of 1,750 riders) in overall fundraising; the top 3%! And once again, the "Saint Francis Flying Fish") raised just over $10,300, earning them a top-20 spot among the other teams!
