2nd HIPPO Power Unit for City of Olathe, KS

The City of Olathe, KS recently purchased a new F-450 equipped with a HIPPO 2543P to serve as a "Valve & Hydrant Truck" for City's (Water) Line Maintenance & Distribution Division.

The 2543P is capable of operating the crane, an 80cfm (rotary-screw) air-compressor, a 4,000Watt generator, and two (2) 10gpm hydraulic tool circuits, with multiple functions available at the same time. Additionally, each function is completely independent of the others, and can be enabled with a simple flip of a switch.

These functions will enable the Valve and Hydrant Crew to work through the City's uni-directional flushing program, and perform the exercise and maintenance of the city's valves and hydrants in a more efficient manner.
