This service truck is in their "Construction & Maintenance" division, and is used daily for things such as: Installation of new meter services Repair of main breaks Maintenance of valves and fire hydrants General maintenance Barry Bolin, Distribution Superintendent, said "We're much more efficient using this truck. Our guys used to only bring what they thought they would need for the day, and if something else came up, they had to go back to the shop, which wasted time." Before, Paducah Water used to bring a tow-behind air compressor, a gas powered, 5KW electric generator, and the old, stand-alone, "diaphragm-style" water pumps. They had very few hydraulic tools. The multipower pack changed all that. Today, Paducah Water uses more hydraulic tools than air, including hand-held valve turners, breakers, cut-off saws, and an 800gpm water pump! "People can't believe that little pump can move that much water!" Barry said.
