The Knoxville Utility Board followed-up their 5 unit purchase from May 2006 by taking delivery of another HIPPO 4532P (3-N-1 Multipower Pack) Knoxville Utility Board (KUB) is unique. They are one of only a handful of utilities in the United States that provide four services (gas, electric, water and wastewater) from one company. As such, they need equipment that can easily switch from one job to another, without making time consuming trips back to the shop. The head of fleet services at KUB mentioned that before their purchase of the MultiPower Pack, they already had electric, hydraulic and pneumatic power, they just didn’t have them all at once, and in such a convenient package. This is what makes the HIPPO system so valuable to them; Convenience, Ease-of-Use, and unparalleled flexibility. KUB's 4532P Multipower Packs are equipped with: Air Compressor: 185 CFM Hydraulic tool circuit with 0-15gpm Hydraulic tool circuit with 0-30gpm Hydraulic Generator: 9,000 Watts With the MultiPower Pack, KUB is able to use tools such as jackhammers, tappers, water pumps, impacts, and lights. All this is accomplished with only one truck and one MultiPower Pack. The truck is a 2007 International 4300 with a DT466 engine, automatic transmission, tilt steering and even a drivers air ride seat. Once again, our dealer for this transaction is O.G. Hughes, who will put the finishing touches such as utility body, hose reels, etc. on the truck.
